This development occurred in a series of discussions, inquiries, and choices, not in a single instance. But within a Kronotex review. The next thing is a reflection on how those tastes changed throughout the year. And what that change informs us about the future.
Early 2025: Cozy, Familiar – Homey.
The first part of 2025 was characterized by a clear trend to warming. Customers were drawn to interiors that were reassuring and anchored an extension of the comfort-seeking mentality that had influenced residential and workplace interior design of recent years.

The clients started asking more as to how a floor would fit within a space over time. As opposed to how it would look on the surface.

Grey laminates offered that flexibility, all the while acting as a stable backdrop rather than a more dominant feature.

They did not make us show the aspects of our range that would fit with the changing preferences but rather allowed us to do so naturally.
Exquisit Plus, Herringbone, and Mammut Plus collections were still used to meet all the evolving demands without becoming obsolete. With tastes shifting to less warm to gentler greys, these lines were stable selections, changing with a finish and use, and not rebranding.
This continuity mattered. The clients did not want something completely new. Also, they wanted to be confident with the decisions that would have an aging process. The ability to choose variants that have the capability of moving depending on the shifting preferences without sacrificing quality increased that trust throughout the season.
What This Change of Direction Bodes into 2026.
Instead of considering these developments as short term tendencies. Also, it is better to consider them as evidence of a more knowledgeable decision maker. In the current times, clients have become more conscious of the impact of design decisions on their daily lives, and they view flooring with that consideration.
The use of lighter palettes and a more subdued finish indicates a more general trend toward the long-term. Design decisions are becoming less significant in terms of impact and more of balance. Nowadays laminate flooring is being chosen not only for its appearance but for its ability to support flexible and thoughtful interiors.
The trend is evident even as we head towards 2026, and we do not have to make bold predictions to see it. The trends do not have a singular effect on the demand of the composed and versatile flooring solutions, but the way people live and work is expected to influence the demand.

The year provided a clear understanding of the changing trend in the preferences of the clients. Since the early emphasis on warmth and familiarity to an increased interest in calm and neutrality was the logical direction of the path.
